About Me

I started teaching English in secondary schools in the year 2000, following a degree in English Literature and a post graduate certificate in Education. I loved this path but, in 2018, felt a calling to pursue a career in the world of wellness, and therefore enrolled on a 200hr TT, then left the school environment in 2022 (with a heartful of happy memories, strong friendships and proud successes) and followed my heart.

Although I practised yoga sporadically in my teens and early twenties, my exercise routine at that time mostly consisted of running, fast-paced exercise classes and lifting weights at the gym. It wasn’t until the early noughties when I really fell in love with yoga. This love grew in 2007 when I was pregnant with my first child as I deeply felt the practice's beautiful and huge benefits, both physically and mentally, during pregnancy and labour.
After my children were born – I had three in close succession – I found that whenever I had the opportunity to practise (which was hard with three children under five), I grabbed it, and always felt rejuvenated and energised afterwards.

It was in 2013, when my youngest was just one, that I felt an increasing urge to practise more often and on a deeper level. I found that the more time I spent doing yoga, the better I felt, and this opened up more space for me to spend quality time with my family, more determination to stay on top of my busy and demanding job (Head of English in a secondary school) and more reason to keep falling deeper and deeper in love with yoga and its benefits, again and again.

Over the years, Literature, yoga, wellness and sound healing have become my greatest passions – alongside, of course, my family and friends.

My beautiful world of wellness continues to grow and I feel deeply grateful for all the wonderful people I have met along the way, as well as those I am yet to meet, to practise with, to laugh with...
