Service Description

What if the stars could offer us a different way of understanding ourselves? Join us for a deeply nourishing evening exploring the relationship between the cosmos above and the world within. We’ll weave Yin Yoga, astrology, self-inquiry & sound into one immersive experience. Starting with a 45-minute co-taught Yin practice, we’ll invite the body to soften and the mind to become quiet. As the shapes settle, Jeff will gently introduce astrological themes to offer moments of reflection and meditation. From there will follow a deeper dive into astrology & the self, using the language of the planets & the birth chart as a lens through which to explore our inner landscapes, inviting us to contemplate the celestial energies at play and what they might have to say about our own lives. We’ll look at what the cosmos might illuminate about the way we move through the world, & how we can work consciously with these energies rather than simply being carried by them. Our focus will be on unlocking healthy assertiveness: becoming more intimate with who we are, and learning to work with the energies available to us. This includes exploring the energy of action, finding the courage to take up space, honouring our boundaries and self-belief, speaking our truth and cultivating a more empowered, more aware and compassionate, relationship with our own needs, desires and voice. We’ll then move into a deeply integrative sound meditation, allowing everything we’ve explored to settle beneath the thinking mind as we listen inwardly. No previous knowledge of astrology is needed. Just bring yourself, an open mind and a willingness to explore, turn inwards & wonder.
